I came to Tamara in January, having lived a life of traumatic events in my 65 years, including childhood trauma. The feeling of helplessness and hopelessness, anxiety, depression, guilt and shame were the norm for me and no matter what I tried over the years, nothing worked. I had no passion and no purpose and was just living on auto pilot. I had drinking and overeating issues and was constantly fatigued. I retired from a very toxic workplace a few months ago and wondered what the rest of my life was going to look like. Apart from being emotionally, physically and spiritually bankrupt, I had spent a lot of money trying to find something to help me over the years and nothing ever did.
From the 1st session with Tamara, I glimmered a tiny bit of hope that I may have a lot of unresolved trauma causing me to feel the way I do. I loved working with Tamara and would look forward to the sessions every week knowing that after the first week there was a shift in my symptoms and feelings. Today, I finished my 8 weeks and I am a totally reinvented new person. I am happy for the first time in my life and I have purpose and passion. My symptoms of overeating and over drinking have gone and not by willpower at all, but because I feel so much better, I no longer have to resort to the crutches of food and alcohol. I have taken up bike riding, swimming, gardening and reading something I never have done and love every minute of getting fitter mentally and physically. I have my self-esteem and confidence back and my friends and family have noticed a huge difference in me. I am so indebted to Tamara for giving me what I will call a “Miracle” in giving me a life that I am looking forward to.
